Arthur's friend Desi, who lives down the street from us, was diagnosed with leukemia a week or so ago. We are keeping Desi and his family in our thoughts, and doing what we can to help.

Desi recently got a DS from his aunt, but only had one game, so Arthur volunteered to lend Desi some of his DS games so he would have something to do while he's not feeling well. We also brainstormed about what he might like to have in the hospital and put together a little care package for him. I hope it brightens his day a little when it gets there!

The news from Desi's family has been good now though, the chemo is working and Desi's condition is improving. We're hoping for that to continue and a clear path to recovery and remission for Desi!
I was really sad to read about Desi on Maija's Facebook page. We are thinking about him over here. What a tough thing for a young kid to go through!
