Yes it is, from Arthur’s knight costume. “This is where swords go Mommy! I have a sword and Daddy has a sword”. I’m reasonably sure he is actually talking about real swords, since Travis has one hanging in the garage ;)
We have had a rough couple weeks. First Arthur came down with a cold and a fever, then Travis, then Felix, and lastly of course, me. I wound up with my yearly dose of strep throat, which can stop visiting any time. And poor Felix wound up with a double ear infection, leading to both ear drums bursting from the pressure. That sounds gross. Let me assure you, that it is most certainly gross. There is leakage. Everywhere. But we are all on the road to recovery now, and feeling much better. I even have my voice back after a few days of being a squeaky whispering mess.
During all of this, I came out with relatively few pictures for a two week span, but still got some good ones. Felix became the first of either of my boys to actually fall asleep in the highchair…maybe because of his raging fever, but either way it still was cute, a little sad too, but cute.
We saw how entertaining the cat is yet again, and witnessed attempts at baby planking:
We watched endless hours of children’s programming on Netflix, can you name those dinosaurs?
We read the same Dr. Seuss books over and over and over to Felix. He can’t get enough!
And of course, there was Sunday
All in all, Arthur and Felix were great considering we’ve been cooped up at home for the past two weeks!
And of course I kept some notes of funny things that Arthur said:
Arthur, talking about the ride home from Grandma’s house:
“We saw a police car but we followed the log so we didn’t go to jail. Because you can’t just take things. We always have to pay for things first…But not free cookies”
While watching a view of outer space during the intro of The Land Before Time:
A:What’s that Mommy?
Me: Outer Space
A: Nope! That’s moon garbage!
And then lastly, today while visiting with Great Grandma Gael, Arthur was talking about our visit with my Aunt Lise and family at the Toronto Airport a while ago. When asked about his cousin Ashwyn, Arthur told us:
“We went to see my other brother Ashwyn at the airport. But we didn’t get to go on an airplane. But next time we go to the airport we’re going on a plane. My other brother got to go on a plane because his home is across the ocean!!”
