We Can Go Outside Again!

Because we have a great backyard! We had Lindsay and her girls over for a playdate while Travis got some unpacking done without the kids underfoot and it was so much fun! So much, in fact, that Arthur cried when they had to leave and said he didn’t want Sienna to come over ever because it would mean that she had to leave and that makes him too sad. Of course he is super excited to go play at the park with her tomorrow, so I’m sure it was just a dramatic three year old talking.

Felix was all over the place, he is loving the freedom he has in the yard now. Though I’ve been trying to keep him away from the sandbox, he’s been eating so much sand lately that it’s noticable in his diaper! Gross.

I made jello as a snack for the kids since Arthur loved it so much at Aaron’s birthday party. It was a huge success and sparked a super cute photo shoot. These kids are so goofy and lovable!

Followed by shovelling it into his mouth with varied success

Felix and Zoey have really started to play together, or at least side by side with the same toys. It’s cute how they gravitate to each other, though somewhat alarming to see how nonchalantly they just shove each other aside from something they want!

Try to take a nice sepia toned photo, and I get the paparazi shot instead…get that camera out of my face! Though in this instance it might be “gimme that, I want to chew on it”

We eventually left the big kids outside playing while the mama’s and babies retreated to the air conditioned house. When we checked on them there was always something happening. First it was Sienna stripped down to her underwear, then Arthur trying to fill up his bubble wand with pool water to blow bubbles, and finally it was both kids ferrying over bucketsful of sand from the sandbox into the water table until they had one whole side full of mud!

I love this little montage of Felix and Zoey. Z is upset that Felix is on the zebra, then super happy when she gets a turn. But wait, F has realized how fun it was…maybe she won’t even notice if he just sits up front. And out of nowhere Z is on the floor wondering how F managed to squirm his way back onto the zebra and push her off. There *may* have been tears and shrieking after that last picture ;)
