This past week has been full of fun. Playdates and playing with new toys. We’ve all been enjoying all of our gifts! The first thing we had to do on boxing day though was to take down our christmas tree. We usually leave it up longer, but we had forgotten to water it for a few days when we first got it and by boxing day it was losing needles at a remarkable rate. The mess was pretty epic, even for a christmas tree removal!
Arthur is in love with his 3DS, though he calls it his GPS (probably because Travis got an actual GPS for christmas). He’s been busy taking pictures, playing games, and fiddling with it in general.
We put the new table and chairs that the boys got from Grandma (my Mom) in the corner where the tree was. They love it! And I like having a kid sized table there for them to colour and do all kinds of other stuff at.
I really wracked my brain to figure out a gift for Felix this year. I finally decided to get him the cast of the show The Backyardigans in beanie baby form and it turns out that was a great idea! He won’t go to sleep, get in the car, or go anywhere without at least one of them. And he’s been playing with them every day. I’m so happy he loves them so much, and it’s actually made bedtime much easier!
We had Sienna and Zoey over the other day so that Lindsay and her sister could go have some fun with the great boxing week sales :) It was so much fun! We listened to music, danced, and just plain had fun!
Unfortunately our week ended on a sad note. Travis’s grandmother passed away after suffering another stroke. She was truly a wonderful lady. She always thought of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. Even remembering everyone’s birthday! We were lucky enough to be able to visit her at her retirement home not long ago, and will be keeping those happy memories close to our hearts. We miss you Baba!
