Retro Post–Arthur's First Plane Trip

When Arthur was four months old, my great uncle passed away. Travis couldn't come with us, but Arthur and I went for the funeral. We met my mom there and went back to Kitchener to visit for a while. We had a great visit and ended up taking a plane back to Thunder Bay to come home.

We took a trip to the Toronto Zoo, Arthur's first! It was lots of fun. Except for the part where a Canada Goose attacked my mom, it actually flew up and pecked at her face! She was being a good Grandma though, if she hadn't stood in front of the stroller that goose would have gotten Arthur instead.

Arthur could have stayed and stared at this aquarium all day. If you've ever been to the Toronto Zoo with a baby, you probably know exactly which aquarium this is. It's mesmerizing!

Arthur did great on his first plane ride. He got to watch TV, and barely cried during take off and landing. I'm always nervous with the whole hold the baby in your lap thing on planes, but we made it safe and sound. A much easier trip than driving the 14 hours back to Marathon from Kitchener.
