We finally managed to move into our new townhouse (rental) at the beginning of June. I was 39 weeks pregnant. It was actually a very well organized move, thanks to Travis's hard work and our fantastic friends who came to help! It was so nice to settle in before the new baby got here. Travis actually took a week off before the baby came and went on an insane unpacking spree. He got everything done and organized, essentially by himself. I was too busy sitting on the couch dealing with braxton hicks contractions.
Arthur loved having all the space, and an actual yard. He even got his own big boy room! We decorated it in a Cars theme of course. We had a hard time figuring out what to do for a bed for him, we wanted to use the futon as a spare bed for guests. Originally we looked at buying bunk beds, but the cost was going to be high. So, for much less than bunk beds would have cost, we bought ourselves a new mattress set and gave our old set to Arthur! It worked out perfectly for everyone.
Lindsay came over a fair amount, it really helped keep me sane! And of course the kids love playing with each other. Arthur was still fairly submissive to Sienna and let her do almost anything she wanted to.
Golfing was a big part of Arthur's playtime at this point. He was always golfing!
And his imagination was really blossoming too. We have this red blanket that my mom made for us. Arthur adopted it as his prop for everything. He would wrap himself up in it and it would be his costume, his car, his hair, anything!
Look Mama, I'm an elephant!
