Weekend Visit

This weekend we had a couple great visits with Mom and Grandma. Its always so nice to see Mom and Grandma. Arthur loved having two grandmas to spoil him at the same time. We got some shopping done and basically had a laid back family weekend. Arthur is still doing great with potty training. He's in big boy underwear all day at home, but still in pull-ups and diapers when we leave the house and overnight. He's doing really well with going by himself, though he still has a few accidents a day.  At least my living room isn't perpetually covered in towels anymore, and we're no longer looking at poor Arthur sideways every time he sits on the couch. He gets really upset when he has an accident, its so heartbreaking to see him cry over it but overall I figure that will make him work harder to stop having accidents right? Of course we have our standard preschooler funny times. One that stands out (to me that is, I take no responsibility if no one else finds it funny!) is a conversation about peanuts.

Travis: Why are there peanuts in the fridge?
Me: Ask your son
Travis: Arthur did you put these in here?
Arthur: Yep
Travis: Why?
Arthur: (In a loud, "this is obvious" kind of voice) I *need* peanuts Daddy!

Another note of progress, Arthur has been very into lego lately, which often ends up in a large bucket of lego being dumped all over the living room. He also has been telling us about the things he's built, but he always pronounces build as "blild". Travis has been working with him and he now pronounces it properly! It's been a big language hurdle for him, though it didn't take as long as turning "lellow" to yellow.

Mom and Felix

Daddy passing on his love of video gaming...notice Felix "helping" him with the DS stylus!

Test driving the double stroller, looks like a hit with the sleepy baby

Arthur seems to like it too!
